讲座题目1:Visual Objects Tracking: Challenges and Opportunities
内容简介: Visual objects tracking is a key enabling technology for numerous emerging applications ranging from security surveillance, intelligent transportation, smart city, connected health care, to name a few. In this presentation, an overview of the visual object tracking problem will be given. Major technical challenges, including non-rigid visual object detection and localization, structured and non-planar motion modeling, as well as multiple target tracking will be surveyed and recent progress will be discussed. Recent progress of novel VOT techniques, such as deep learning will be surveyed. Emerging video capturing instrumentations, such as camera array, and associated VoT techniques will be reviewed.
讲座题目2:Multi-view Image Denoising
内容简介:A novel multi-view image denoising algorithm using 3D focus image stacks is presented. The proposed algorithm constructs 3D focus image stacks to exploit image redundancy within and across views. Both depth estimation and denoising quality are significantly improved by incorporating all views in the 3D focus image stacks. Occlusion handling is also addressed with the implementation of depth-guided adaptive window selection and dynamic view selection, which helps to select the most consistent patches at occluded regions and image borders. Experiment results indicate the superior performance of the proposed approach over existing state-of-the-art single-image and multi-view image denoising algorithms.

主讲人简介:胡玉衡教授是美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校电子与计算机工程系教授,IEEE Fellow。研究兴趣包括信号处理算法的设计与实现,超大规模集成电路计算机辅助设计、模式分类和机器学习算法、图像信号处理等,目前已经发表高水平学术论文300余篇。曾担任IEEE Transaction of Acoustic, Speech, and Signal Processing, IEEE signal processing letters等高水平国际期刊的副编辑、IEEE信号处理协会执行委员会成员及秘书长、IEEE信号处理协会神经网络委员会和多媒体信号处理委员会主席、多媒体领域国际会议指导委员会成员等职务。
